Swedish director Ruben Östlund’s Force Majeure (Turist) – selected for Un Certain Regard – are flying a few Norwegian colours: co-produced by Yngve Sæther for Norway’s Motlys, it stars Norwegian actress Lisa Loven Kongsli in the female lead.

The story in Force Majeure is about a Swedish family, with Loven as the wife, on a skiing holiday in the Alps. An avalanche threatens to hit the family, and the wife throws herself over the children to save them – while the husband runs away. Another Norwegian actor to appear in the film is Kristoffer Hivju (Game of Thrones), who plays an old ski bum-friend of the husband.
