The major Norwegian broadcasters NRK and TV2 have joined with the newspaper Aftenposten to launch the Nordic Series Days, which will be an event for the Norwegian and Nordic television industry to meet and discuss ideas.

TV2’s Head of Drama, Christopher Haug, said on TV2: “Norwegian and Nordic television shows often end up as a side program at other festivals. We believe that in this country we have to get better at being proud of what we produce.”

The two day festival will will have meeting points, an academic conference and a showcase with panel discussions, interviews and talks.

There will also be a Nordic Drama Award, which will be given to the most outstanding series.

The event takes place at the end of September, and you can learn more about it here.
