Norwegian films in focus at TIFF

Out of Nature

The Transilvania International Film Festival, or TIFF, is to be held in Romania at the end of this month – and they plan to show some love to Norwegian cinema. In total 16 Norwegian films will be shown at the festival, including Ole Giaevers Out of Nature, which features on the cover of our magazine.

The films are:

  • Beatles (dir. Peter Flinth) – read our review
  • Must Have Been Love (dir. Eirik Svensson)
  • One Night in Oslo (dir. Eirik Svensson)
  • Miss Julie (dir. Liv Ullmann)
  • Homesick (dir. Anne Sewitsky)
  • Chasing Berlusconi (dir. Ole Endresen)
  • The Optimists (dir. Gunhild Westhagen Magnor)
  • Letter to the King (dir. Hisham Zaman)
  • Dead Snow (dir. Tommy Wirkola) and Dead Snow 2
  • Nine Lives (dir. Arne Skouen)  – also recently voted the best Norwegian film ever!

In addition to this, Bent Hamer will also be honoured and Operation Arctic is part of the kids section.
