Norwegian Film Institute launches streaming service

Today marks the release of Filmbib – a free streaming platform with shorts and documentaries available to the registered readers of Norway’s public readers. The service will initially be on computer, but will soon extend to iOS and Android devices. The platform has been commissioned by the Norwegian Culture Ministry, and will contain recent films, shorts and historical documentaries.

Norwegians can be looking forward to works by directors Hans Petter Moland, Anita Killi, Torille Kove, Morten Skallerud, Ole Giaever and many more. The service will launch with 150 titles, and they plan to add at least 100 titles a year.

You can find more information via the Norwegian Film Institute. For those of us who aren’t registered library readers, at least we can use the Danish streaming service!
