Norway’s THE QUAKE to be pre-sold in Berlin

Back in 2015, the biggest hit of the year in Norway was The Wave, which was also considered Norway’s first disaster movie. Now, the team behind The Wave are back with The QuakeThe Quake is now going to be pre-sold by TrustNordisk starting at the Berlin Film Festival.

The Quake is going to be directed by DOP and director John Andreas Andersen and produced by Martin Sundland and Are Heistenstrøm. Scriptwriters Harald Rosenløw Eeg and John Kåre Raake are also back on board. And as with The Wave, The Quake is inspired by real events.

The Quake will be a large-scale disaster movie as we have come to know from Hollywood, but TrustNordisk ensures there will be a special Scandinavian touch so it will stand above the other films of the genre. The film will be an emotionally captivating drama set in the midst of an epic disaster.

Shooting for The Quake is due to start this year, with the Norwegian release scheduled for August 2018.
