Norway’s NORSKE BYGGEKLOSSER to be remade in Finland

Despite only being released in Norway less than a month ago, the comedy Norske Byggeklosser is set to be remade in Finland, the producers confirmed to VG. 

The film, which itself is a remake of a 1972 comedy, follows a couple as they are meet unforeseen troubles and bureaucracy when they refurbish an inherited house to get away from a mad mother. A hopeless and hilarious meet with the system.

The film stars Atle AntonsenAnders Baasmo ChristiansenAnne Marit Jacobsen and Ine F. Jansen. It is directed by Arild Fröhlich, who has directed a number of classic Norwegian films including FatsoGrand Hotel and Doctor Proctors Fart Powder.

The Finnish remake will be directed by Taneli Mustonen, who previously directed a Finnish remake of the Danish comedy Reunion. That remake was so successful it beat Star Wars at the box office in Finland.
