Noomi Rapace to star in new Netflix film alongside Will Smith

Noomi Rapace continues to dominate international sci-fi action flicks: just two days ago we wrote about her role in Seven Sisters. Now, Rapace is back with a new film.

Rapace is starring alongside Will Smith in the Netflix fantasy film Bright, which had its first full-length trailer launched at the San Diego Comic-Con. A teaser was released earlier this year.

Bright is described as an ‘urban fantasy action crime thriller film’ and is set in an alternate reality where mystical creates live side by side with humans, Bright follows a human cop (Will Smith), who is forced to work with Nick Jakoby (Joel Edgerton) to find a weapon that everyone is prepared to kill for.

Netflix picked up the film for a $90 million deal and Rapace joined the film in May 2016.

Bright will be released in time for Christmas on the 22nd of December 2017.

Judging by the trailer, the use of different species is clearly a reference to the current immigration issue.

What do you think of the trailer?
