Noomi Rapace to star in ANGEL OF MINE remake

The Swedish actress Noomi Rapace will star in the film Angel of Mine, which will be directed by Australian director Kim Farrant.

Based on a French film from 2008 called L’Empreinte de L’Ange, Angel of Mine is about Lizzie, a mother whose daughter died several years ago. Unable to cope with the loss, she becomes convinced that a stranger’s daughter is her own. As her obsession grows, she becomes closer to the child, causing her to lose touch with reality.

Angel of Mine is an Australian/US co-production, with assistance from Screen Australia and SixtyFourSixty. Production is set to start in April.

Rapace has had a fairly successful international career after the Swedish hit The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. She can currently be seen in the Netflix movies What Happened to Monday (directed by the Norwegian Tommy Wirkola) and Bright. She recently wrapped production on Robert Budreau’s Stockholm as well as the thriller Close
