Noomi Rapace and Joel Kinnaman to star in ‘The Secrets We Keep’

The Swedish actors Noomi Rapace and Joel Kinnaman will star together in the U.S. independent thriller The Secrets We Keep, Variety reports.

The film is about a woman rebuilding her life along with her husband in New York after World War II. When they encounter an eerily familiar man, their life starts to unravel as they wonder if he could be the officer who was one of their chief tormentors at a concentration camp in Europe. ace

Rapace will star as the woman, whereas Kinnaman is in talks to play the mysterious but familiar stranger.

Yuval Adler is directing, and Ryan Covington wrote the script. Adler had his directorial debut with Bethlehem, which won awards at the Venice Film Festival and Taipei Film Festival.

Production is set to begin early next year. The film is currently being presented at the American Film Market.
