Nine Nordic television series nominated in the C21 Drama Awards

Nine Nordic television series have been nominated for the C21 Drama Awards, with the winners to be announced in London on the 30th of November. The finalists will be judged by 100 of the world’s leading drama commissioners. The awards are held as part of a three-day international drama summit.

Four series are in the Best Non-English Language Drama Series category: Case (Iceland), Trapped (Iceland), Black Widows (Finland) and Follow the Money (Denmark). This means that Nordic television makes up half of the total nominees in that category.

In the Best Comedy Drama series, we have the Danish divorce comedy Splitting Up Together and the Swedish/US show Swedish Dicks.

In the Best Digital Original Series, we have the Swedish Hashtag and the Norwegian series Shame.

In the English-Language dramas, we have Susanne Bier’s The Night Manager and Hans Rosenfeldt’s Marcella.
