New TV series about criminal Pål Enger to be made in the US

The life of criminal and artist Pål Enger is set to be turned into a television series for the United States, Dagbladet reports.

Pål Enger is famous for having stolen famous Edvard Munch paintings. In 1988, he broke into the Munch Museum in Oslo and stole the painting ‘Vampyr’, and in 1994 he stole the famous ‘The Scream’ from the National Gallery. After being imprisoned he became an artist himself and opened his first exhibition in 2011.

Not much is known of the television series, but Enger confirmed to Dagbladet that it will be a fictional story.
