New trailer released for season two of ‘Trapped’ ahead of Icelandic premiere

A new trailer has been released for the highly anticipated second season of the Icelandic crime series Trapped.

Season one focused on a murder mystery in a remote Icelandic town that was physically isolated by a raging blizzard. The second season deals with more psychological forms of entrapment as it follows an Icelandic government minister who is attacked as she enters the parliament building. The man sets fire to both of them, and the investigation takes unexpected turns.

Season two of Trapped will premiere in Iceland around Christmas. For everyone else, it should be getting an international release early in 2019.

Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Ilmur Kristjánsdóttir and Ingvar E. Sigurðsson reprise their roles, as does Baltasar Kormakur as director.

You can watch the trailer (in Icelandic) below.
