New Scandi crime comedy coming from Viaplay

A new crime comedy is being made in a co-production between New Zealand and Denmark, the Nordisk Film og TV Fond reports.

Titled Straight Forward, the series follows a Danish woman who attempts to leave her criminal past behind by moving to a small town in New Zealand to start afresh. But as we know, things are never that simple.

Straight Forward is produced by Screentime New Zealand and Mastiff Denmark, with the Scandi streaming service Viaplay and the NZ broadcaster TVNZ co-producing.

Straight Forward is set in Queenstown and Copenhagen. The series will premiere exclusively on Viaplay across Scandinavia in 2018.
