New posters released for ‘The House That Jack Built’

Lars von Trier’s The House That Jack Built premiered in Denmark last night as part of the CPH:PIX film festival, and new character posters were released ahead of the premiere.

The posters, which were created by the Einstein Couple (read our review with them here), depict Trier along with the cast entangled in contortion poses. The cast includes Matt Dillon, Bruno Ganz, Uma Thurman, Riley Keough and Sofie Gråbøl.

The Einstein Couple said of the design  :“Lars’ films are never predictable. Bearing that in mind, the teaser posters cannot be so either. We have tried to create a campaign with strong ties to the theme of the film, but at the same time create posters which can stand alone. We chose to portray the characters inspired by Jack’s sophisticated exaltation of murder.”

The House That Jack Built had its world premiere earlier this year at the Cannes Film Festival and will be released in Danish cinemas on the 29th of November.

Set in the US, The House That Jack Built follows Jack through five incidents and the murders that define Jack’s development as a serial killer.

Keep an eye out for our review of the film, which will come next week!

You can view the posters over at TrustNordisk.
