A new fantasy thriller titled Hidden has been announced by the Scandinavian company Yellow Bird, Variety reports.

Based on the critically acclaimed novel Förstfödd by Filip Alexanderson, the series will be set in Stockholm and include a mix of crime and supernatural forces. Hidden will blend realism and psychological drama with the supernatural.

Izabella Scorupco and August Wittgenstein will star in the series, with Jonathan Sjöberg directing and co-writing alongside Björn Paqualin.

Hidden will premiere exclusively on the Nordic streaming service Viaplay in 2018 before being broadcast on TV3 in Sweden. Yellow Bird is producing the series with Banijay Rights handling international sales.
