A new Danish war film titled In Love and War (Danish title: I Krig & Kærlighed) is set to begin production, and the cast has been announced.

Sebastian Jessen [+] and Thure Lindhardt [+] will star in the film, which is written and directed by Kasper Torsting.

In Love and War follows Danish man Esben who flees from World War I, forced to abandon his wife and children in order to save his own life. Hiding close to his home, he watches as the German officer Gebhard moves in and replaces his role as the man of the house. Esben is forced to decide whether or not to keep hiding or to stand up for what he believes in, even if it costs him his life.

Rosalinde Mynster [+] will play his wife, Kristine, with Jessen as Esben and Lindhardt as the German officer.

In Love and War is produced by Fridthjof Film [+]. Filming will begin in February and the film will premiere on the 11th of November to mark the centenary of the end of World War I.
