New Danish series starring Birgitte Hjort Sørensen has a release date

A new Danish thriller series called Greyzone is set to premiere in Denmark next month, and it stars Borgen actress Birgitte Hjort Sørensen.

Taking on similar themes of terrorism like 2017’s Below the SurfaceGreyzone is about an engineer, Victoria, who is taken hostage in her home just as intelligence services in Denmark and Sweden are working to prevent a planned terrorist attack.

The cast includes Joachim Fjelstrup, Tova Magnusson, Ardalan Esmaili, Karin Franz Körlöf and Johan Rabaeus. The director is Jesper W. Nielsen, who directed the film The Day Will Come starring Sofie Gråbøl.

No international release date has been announced, but it will premiere on Denmark’s TV2 on the 25th of February.
