The Swedish film My Skinny Sister (Min lilla syster) by debut director Sanna Lenken has been selected for the European Film Academy’s Young Audience Award alongside Italy’s The Invisible Boy and Ireland’s You’re Ugly Too.

The three nominated films will be screened in closed sessions on Sunday, 3 May, within the framework of the European Young Audience Day taking place simultaneously in 25 European cities, to an audience of 12 – 14 years old who will vote for the winning film. The winner will be announced in an award ceremony streamed live on the website yaa.europeanfilmawards.eu.

Last February My Skinny Sister won the Cristal Bear for Best Film from Berlin’s Generation KPlus section. The film produced by Annika Rogell was backed by Nordisk Film & TV Fond.
