More details have been announced regarding the U.S. remake of Ruben Ostlund’s Force Majeure.
Originally, we know that Julia Louis-Dreyfus was the one behind the adaptation, but now we know exactly who will be putting it together.
The U.S. remake will be directed by Nat Faxon and Jim Rash, who won an Academy Award for their screenplay for The Descendants. Jesse Armstrong will write the script.
The remake will not be called Force Majeure, but rather it will be called Downhill. Louise Dreyfus will star in the film alongside Will Ferrell.
Force Majeure and Downhill is about a family on vacation in the Alps who are thrown into disarray when the husband runs away, leaving his wife and two children behind, during what he thought was an avalanche.
