MHz Networks picks up Danish television drama 1864

MHz Networks in the United States has announced it will screen the Danish war drama 1864 in September.

1864 tells the story of love during the Second Schleswig War. The eight-episode series was shot as a movie and divided into episodes, and has directed Ole Bornedal behind it. Bornedal is known for his nineties film Nightwatch and this year’s Small Town Killers. Pilou Asbæk, Jakob Oftebro, Søren Malling, and Sidse Babett Knudsen star in the series.

MHz Networks offers U.S. viewers a library of international television dramas, comedies and documentaries subtitled in English.

1864 will premiere on the 12th of September 2017.
