Over the weekend it was announced that everybody’s favourite Dane Mads Mikkelsen will be featuring in the upcoming Star Wars film, Rogue One. Lucasfilm, the production company behind the franchise, made the announcement.
This is not to be confused with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the film which continues the original trilogy. The Mads Mikkelsen-starring Star Wars, Rogue One, will be the first film in a standalone series that is set before the original trilogy. As said on the Star Warswebsite:
“Rogue One takes place before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope and will be a departure from the saga films but have elements that are familiar to the Star Wars universe. It goes into new territory, exploring the galactic struggle from a ground-war perspective while maintaining that essential Star Wars feel that fans have come to know.”
