Louder than Bombs heading to the Toronto Int’l Film Festival 2015

Joachim Trier’s English-language film Louder than Bombs will be part of the Special Presentations section at the Toronto International Film Festival, which takes place between the 10th and 20th of September 2015. This will be the only Nordic film screening at the prestigious festival, though Tom Hooper’s The Danish Girl will also be screening (the film has been supported by the Copenhagen Film Fund and stars Alicia Vikander).

Louder Than Bombs, which screened as part of the Official Selection at Cannes, follows an ageing schoolteacher coming to terms with the death of his photojournalist wife by attempting to reconcile with his two very different sons.

This is Joachim Trier’s first English-language film, and the Norwegian director is best known for Reprise.
