Liv Ullmann Retrospective at the Bergamo Film Meeting

The Bergamo Film Meeting (international film festival) dedicates its retrospective section to Norwegian film-maker Liv Ullmann. Not only the films she has acted in, but also those directed/written by her will be showcased in Bergamo in March 2018. The event, arranged with the patronage of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Rome, welcomes Ullmann as a guest as well.

The 36th edition of the Bergamo Film Meeting, organised in the city of Bergamo located in northern Italy, will welcome Liv Ullmann and present her cinematic works to the public. The event is a perfect opportunity for those interested in Nordic cinema to pursue their passion and take a cinematic journey.

The festival will last nine days, and more than 160 films will be screened from all over the world. As usual, the Competition Exhibition and the Close-Up sections will provide an overview of contemporary cinema, showcasing the latest emerging trends and film-makers in fiction and documentary.

Many international guests, meetings with authors, special events, previews and surprises, guided screenings for schools and younger viewers will enrich the festival. Additonally, side events, ranging between visual arts, music, and comics in collaboration with a consolidated network of cultural institutions in the territory, will make the festival’s programme complete.

The event is supported by the EU MEDIA sub-program of Creative Europe.
