Lisa Teige from Norway’s SKAM to star in new dance film

The Norwegian actress Lisa Teige from the hit series Skam is set to star in a new film called Battle, the Nordisk Film og TV Fond reports.

The film is about Amalie, a privileged teenager who is forced to give up her cozy life and move to a rougher neighbourhood. There she meets Mikael, who introduces her to her first dance battle. The film will take inspiration from the classics Dirty Dancing and Flashdance.

Hip hop dancer Fabian Svegaard Tapia plays Mikael.

The film is being produced by Friland Film along with Zentropa Sweden, Adomeit Film Denmark and Phanta Basta! from the Netherlands. The film has been adapted by Maja Lunde from her own novel.

Battle is currently in post-production and will be released in Norway this autumn. No international release date has been announced.
