Lilyhammer Starts Airing On NRK And Netflix

Season three of Lilyhammer is coming to NRK on Wednesday at 9:35pm. Last night in Oslo, Norway, the Peoples Theatre (Folketeateret) was packed with fans of Steven van Zandt, who was there to launch the show.

Van Zandt, who wears multiple hats as an executive producer, writer, actor and composer, is also making his directorial debut with the season three finale. Angelina Jordan, the 8-year-old singing sensation who won Norway’s Got Talent makes her acting debut and Bruce Springsteen has a cameo as Frank’s Italian brother.

Lilyhammer is a funny and fantastic example of programming for a global audience – a comedic culture clash that has drawn in viewers from around the world,” said Ted Sarandos, chief content officer at Netflix. “We are especially proud of the many international awards the show has earned, cementing its cross-cultural appeal.”Lilyhammer will be available for Netflix members to stream in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Latin America, Denmark and the Netherlands from November 21.

Season one premieres on ARTE on October 30.
