LevelK picks up Finnish film HEAVY TRIP

The Danish sales agency LevelK has secured the world sales rights to the Finnish comedy Heavy Trip.

Heavy Trip is about an unknown Finnish heavy metal band in a small town in Northern Finland. The band, Impaled Rektum, have rehearsed for twelve years but never played a show. Lead singer Turo is forced to overcome his fears and lead the band on a wild journey to the hottest metal festival in Norway.

The film is directed by Jukka Vidgren and Juuso Laatio, produced by Kai Nordberg and Kaarle Aho for Making Movies and was financed by the Finnish Film Foundation, YLE & Film Camp. The cast for the film includes Johannes Holopainen, Minka Kuustonen & Ville Tiihonen.

 

Scanbox Entertainment released the film locally on March 9.

No international release dates have been announced yet.
