LAST MEN IN ALEPPO on the Oscar Shortlist

The Danish documentary Last Men in Aleppo has been selected as one of the fifteen films that are on the Academy Award shortlist for Best Documentary Feature.

Last Men in Aleppo follows the daily life of the White Helmets rescue workers helping their fellow citizens in the war-torn city of Aleppo. The film, which is directed by Feras Fayyad and co-directed by Steen Johanessen, had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2017, where it won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize.

The five nominees will be announced on the 23rd of January.
