Lars von Trier’s TV series turns into a film

The House That Jack Built was set to become a new series by Lars von Trier. However, in a video posted on Facebook, he has announced that he will be turning it into a feature length film instead.

Very little is known about the plot of The House That Jack Built – all we know is that it will most likely follow a serial killer (hence the Bowie quotation in the video) and the film will take place from the killer’s point of view.

This is a controversial concept in itself, as the title refers to the English nursery rhyme This is the House That Jack Built.

In an interview with the films producer Peter Aalbaek Jensen, Ekko.dk wrote that the film is set to start production in Sweden this September. You can read the whole interview (in Danish) here.
