Lars Mikkelsen’s LOST IN AFRICA finds U.S. deal

Lars Mikkelsen’s Lost in Africa [+], has been picked up for an American release.

Lost in Africa, or Kidnappet in Danish, stars Mikkelsen alongside Connie Nielsen in a story about an 11-year-old boy who goes missing from a Kenyan slum. It was originally released in Denmark in 2010.

The film will be released via distributor Syndicado, who picked up around twenty Nordic and Russian feature films in total. The titles were acquired from Danish sales and distribution company LevelK. Syndicado will now sell the titles to U.S. streaming services like Netflix and Amazon, as well as iTunes, Vudu, Shudder and Google.

Other Nordic titles picked up by Syndicado include Sex, Drugs and Taxation, Cloudboy and In the Blood.
