Kristoffer Joner will star in a new Norwegian television series

The Norwegian actor Kristoffer Joner will star in a new premium Norwegian television drama called Kieler Street, the Nordisk Film og TV Fond reports.

Joner will play Jonas, a former criminal who has assumed a new identity and lives in Scandinavia’s least criminal town. However, the facade begins to fall about when he realises several other inhabitants have hidden identities.

The series will be directed by Patrik Syversen, who previously directed Manhunt and Hellfjord.

The cast includes Anneke von der LippeNicolai Cleve Broch, Johan Rheborg, Andrea Bræin and Janne Heltberg.

The series started filming on the 15th of January for Anagram Norway and TV2 and is represented internationally by ITV Studios. The series has been sold to multiple territories, which are yet to be announced.
