Swedish director Katja Wik’s first feature film The Ex-Wife is currently in post-production. The film tells the story of three women involved in different relationships: a girlfriend, a married mother of two children, and an ex-wife.Klara has fallen in love, and there’s nothing she likes better than hanging around with Jacob; Anna, the mother of two, clocks her husband when he’s heating formula milk; and ex-wife Vera cannot let go of her ex-husband.

Katja Wik is known in Sweden as a casting director who has worked on numerous high-profile Swedish films, including Roy Andersson’s A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence and Ruben Ostlund’s Force Majeure.

The script for The Ex Wife was written in 2012 with her colleague, Swedish producer Marie Kjellson.

The Ex-Wife was selected for Sweden’s Goteborg International Film Festival as a work in progress this year, and local distributor TriArt has a national release for the autumn.
