The new American superhero film Justice League: Part One is set to be filmed in Iceland.

Directed by Zac Synder, the film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams and Gal Gadot in a film where Earth’s greatest superheros are assembled to form the Justice League and combat a threat beyond each members capabilities.

Filming is set to start on the 11th of April, and the film will be shot between Iceland and the UK. According to Upproxx.com, “the Iceland locations will likely be standing in for some sort of alien planet, likely mega villain Darkseid’s hellish Apokolips. Iceland is known for its otherworldly, volcanic landscape, after all.”

Justice League: Part One is due to be premiered on 17 November 2017.
