Jóhann Jóhannsson Nominated for Best Film Composer Award

The Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson has been nominated for Best Film Composer of the Year at the World Soundtrack Awards.

He has been nominated for his score for the film Arrival, and has a wide range of film credits to his name. To name a few, he has done the scores for the Danish film In the Blood, the upcoming Blade Runner 2049, plus The Theory of Everything (for which he won the Golden Globe), A Hijacking, and Prisoners. In addition to his film credits, he has also been releasing solo albums since 2002.

The World Soundtrack Awards take place in Belgium from the 17th of October until the 19th.
