Joachim Trier founds new production company

The Norwegian director Joachim Trier has founded a new production company, Screen reports.

The company, which is currently unnamed, will also consist of Trier’s longtime producer Thomas Robsahm and his screenwriter Eskil Vogt. The company will be within the Oslo-based Film Farms new corporate group.

The move ends Trier’s long relationship with Motlys, which produced three of his films.

After the success of Thelma, Trier is preparing his next film. He is currently considering several projects in both English and Norwegian. The next film will be shot in 2019.

Trier, Robsahm and Vogt all have a stake in the new company, which will be majority owned by Film Farms.
