Jakob Oftebro to star in the HAMILTON series

The Norwegian actor Jakob Oftebro has been announced as starring in the new spy thriller series Hamilton.

Hamilton is originally a novel series and is written by Jan Guillou. In total, twelve novels have been written. The novels have been adapted into films in Sweden already, with the films staring Mikael Persbrandt.

The series follow Swedish intelligence officer Carl Hamilton, who was trained by the US Navy Seals to become part of an illegal black ops cell with the Swedish military.

Hamilton will be directed by Denmark’s Kasper Barfoed (Below the Surface). Petter S Rosenlund, the head writer of The Heavy Water War is writing the series. Swedish broadcaster TV4 and its streaming service CMore have commissioned the first two seasons of the show.

Dramacorp-Pampas are producing with Beta Film handling international sales. Hamilton will start filming in the second half of 2018 in Sweden and throughout Europe. It will premiere exclusively on CMore next year, with release dates to follow in Germany.
