International audiences enjoy YOUNG & PROMISING

The new Norwegian dramedy series produced by Monster Scripted for NRK, Young and Promising, has been picked up by multiple territories.

The series, which follows three girls in their early 20’s trying their best to break into their careers and adulthood, is going to be screening in Germany, the UK, and France.

In Germany, Studio Hamburg Distribution and Marketing acquired the series for ARD’s Channel One and for a new streaming service called FUNK, targeting 14-29 year olds.

In the UK, the series will be shown on Channel Four’s on-demand service Walter Presents, which has previously shown Nordic TV dramas Heartless, Case and Thicker Than Water.

Last but not least, in France the series will be shown on Canal+’s on-demand service CanalPlay.

The series originally premiered in Norway in the autumn of 2015 and averaged 672,000 viewers per episode. Season two is currently in the works and will be selling at MIPCOM by APC, alongside the Norwegian thriller Valkyrien.
