In the literary world, David Lagercrantz will write a fifth Millennium novel

With The Girl in the Spiders Web set to become the second film in the US Millennium Series, the novels author David Lagercrantz has announced he will be writing the fifth instalment in the series.

The first three novels were written by the Swede Stieg Larsson and subsequently released as a film trilogy in Sweden. The original novels sold more than 80 million copies worldwide. When it was announced the Lagercrantz would adapt the series based on Larsson’s notes, there was some controversy. however, The Girl in the Spiders Web has so far sold 6 million copies.

The new book is due for release in September 2017.
