Icelandic film SEVEN BOATS wins at Miminalen

The Icelandic short film Seven Boats, by writer/director Hlynur Palmason, has won Best Nordic Film at the Minimalen Short Film Festival in Trondheim, Norway.

Seven Boats had its international premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in 2014 and has since travelled around twenty additional festivals.

Seven Boats is set in the open sea, and follows a man fighting for his life. He is surrounded by seven boats.

A large part of the crew that worked on Seven Boats is now working on Pálmason‘s first feature film, Winter Brothers, which is a Danish/Icelandic collaboration much like Seven Boats. Masterplan Pictures will produce the film, with Join Motion Pictures co-producing.
