Icelandic Film Days kick off in Stockholm

Eager to kick start your winter this year? This weekend the Icelandic Film Days will take place in Stockholm, Sweden, and will give you the perfect chance to look to the far north in this wonderful selection of films.

In all serious, Icelandic film is doing amazing and a chance to see these films should not be missed.

The three films that will be screened are Gudmundur Arnar Gudmundsson‘s award winning Heartstone, Erlingur Óttar Thoroddsen‘s sophomore feature Rift and veteran Baltasar Kormákur‘s The Oath, which will have its Sweden premiere. In addition to that, Grandma Lo-fi, the documentary by Orri Jónsson, Kristín Björk Kristjánsdóttir and Ingibjörg Birgisdóttir will also be screened, along with a selection of short films by Gudmundur Arnar Gudmundsson and Hlynur Pálmason.

The event will take place at the Zita cinema in Stockholm, Sweden and runs until the 27th of August.
