Gudmundsson selected for Cannes Residence with “Heartstone”


Gudmundur Arnar Gudmundsson has been selected for the Cannes Residence in Paris where he will continue to develop his debut film Heartstone. The film has already received a declaration of production support from the Icelandic film centre for 90 million Icelandic kronur. 

Heartstone tells the story of Thor, a boy growing up in a small fishing village, who’s in love with Beth, the hottest girl in town. Thor’s best friend, Christian, helps Thor win her heart, but in the process Christian finds himself falling for Thor.

Gudmundsson is the writer and directer of Whale Valley, which has won film festivals all over the world.
