Game of Thrones now eyeing off Norway instead of Sweden

After we announced last week that Game of Thrones was looking to the Swedish island of Gotland for its next season, it now seems that Norway is the focus of the HBO producers instead.
The season is believed to be because of Norway’s film incentive, which offers a refund on international productions. While Iceland and Norway offer these rebates, the rest of the Nordic’s don’t.
This isn’t the only major series eyeing off Norway: the country is also reportedly in the running to host scenes of the new Star WarsThe Avengers is also looking towards Norway.
Perhaps this latest addition will be enough for Sweden to offer a film incentive, too.
