Flatpack Film Festival screening Scandinavian Films

Kicking off in Birmingham this week is the Flatpack Film Festival, which contains a ton of films and events including Scandinavian-themed ones.

There are lots of Scandinavian films to be seen:

  • Showing in the UK for the first time The Amusement Park explores the relationship between animation and interactivity. The exhibition focuses on a group of contemporary Finnish animators whose practice has come to transcend screen-based work. It features a life-size zoetrope made from a carousel ride; and Fortune Teller, which monitors its audience and spits out prophecies. Read more
  • First UK appearance of immersive Danish Oculus Rift experience which plunges you into a family meal. Read more
  • A celebration of Swedish director Roy Andersson. Read more
