Finnish Film Days taking place in Budapest in February

The sixth annual Finnish Film Days are set to take place in Budapest, with the dates announced as the 8th to 12th of February. Among the line-up are nine Finnish films with special guests set to attend the festivities.

The opening night film will be Pixadores, the acclaimed documentary from Amir Escandari that follows a group of young men from the favelas of São Paulo who live for pixação, a unique form of street art.

Other films screening is the romantic comedy Golddiggerthe documentary Diving into the Unknown and Dome Karukoski’s The GrumpThere will also be the new Finnish film Little Wing by Selma Vilhunen, Lovemilla, The Midwife, Absolution and the closing film is Esa Illi’s Other Girls.

Petri Kotwica and Laura Birn will be present for a Q&A of Absolution, and the Escandari will also be there for the opening night.

The festival is organised by FinnAgora in cooperation with ToldiMozi, the Finnish Film Foundation and SzimplaFilm.
