Fares Fares to star in new spy series

Swedish actor Fares Fares will star in the new television series Deep State, which is produced by Fox.

Set in the United Kingdom, the United States, Iran, Lebanon and France, the story is about the merciless reality of the spy world in which an increasingly rare conscience can get you, and the ones you love, killed.

Mark Strong stars in the eight-part series. Other major actors include Alistair Petrie, Anastasia Griffith, Amelia Bullmore, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Pip Torrens, and Fares.

It is currently unknown which role Fares will play.

Fares Fares is a Swedish actor with Lebanese heritage who broke into film with Jalla! Jalla! (directed by his brother, Josef Fares). Since then, Fares has become a household name with his leading role in the Department Q films. He has starred in some international productions before, for example, Zero Dark Thirty (2012).
