Eight Film-Makers Received 10-year-long Scholarship in Sweden

The Swedish Arts Grants Committee has decided on giving out eight 10-year-long scholarship within film. Among the recipients there are director Lisa Langseth and documentary film-maker Magnus Gertten.

44 long-term scholarships have been given out to artists by the Swedish Arts Grants Committee. The total sum, which is disributed 3 times a year, will be ca 1.3 million Swedish kronor within ten years. The scholarship is given to artists whose work has been of good artistic quality, and who contributed to the development of their fields.

This year’s recipients within film are: Magnus Gertten (Tusen bitar, Becoming Zlatan), Goran Kapetanovic (My Aunt in Sarajevo), Lisa Langseth (Hotel), Niki Lindroth Von Bahr (The Burden), Tora Mkandawire Mårtens (Martha & Niki), Johannes Nilsson Stjärne (Sound of Noice), Gabriela Pichler (Eat Sleep Die) and Nima Sarvestani (I Was Worth 50 Sheep, No Burqas Behind Bars).
