DR begins production on new drama series

Danish pubcaster DR’s new twenty part drama series, Rides Upon the Storm, created by Adam Price (Borgen), has commenced filming in Denmark.

The series is inspired by the story of Cain and Abel and centres on a religiou family in the Danish church. The series stars Lars Mikkelsen and Ann Eleonora Jørgensen as the parents, with Simon Sears and Morten Hee Andersen as the two sons.

Speaking to dr.dk, Adam Price says that: “Faith has always fascinated me as a driver of human actions. In the last 10-15 years we have seen an intensification of the relationship between the great world religions, which affects both big politics and everyone’s everyday lives.”

Rides Upon the Storm will premiere on DR1 in the autumn of 2017 for ten episodes, then the following year for the last ten episodes.
