Donate to Cinema Scandinavia

Cinema Scandinavia is the only major online English news and analysis source for Nordic films, and throughout the year we have built a large following through our work. Now we need money!

Okay, I don’t need convincing. Where can I donate?

Thanks! Click here

Convince me, Cinema Scandinavia

Well, I’m so glad you asked! Cinema Scandinavia has over forty people donating their time to keeping the magazine running, and on top of that we are getting more and more review requests from Indie Scandinavian filmmakers. Cinema Scandinavia seeks to promote Nordic talent, and the best way we can do this is by making the page as good-looking and public as possible. Advertising and graphic design doesn’t come cheap, and as the website is owned by one person, it’s a lot of money out of pocket.

We recently got approval to put Google Ads onto our website, but due to the websites minimal and nice design, placing ads all over it will just reduce the overall quality of the website. Instead of putting ads, we’d prefer to be supported by the community so we can give back to our readers.

Any money made from donations will go to sending writers to film screenings, film festivals, reviews, and to website design, graphic design, and publishing the magazine.

Okay, fair enough. I’ll donate!

Thanks! You don’t have to donate a lot, and all you have to do is click here

If you have a blog, website, or business and wish to donate, we’ll put your page up on a ‘Links’ page we are building in return!

If you have any questions, advice, or suggestions about where the website should go, email Emma at emma@cinemascandinavia.com
