The Danish director Jonas Arby made a name for himself after the genre film When Animals Dream, and now he has announced his next project.

Titled Suicide Tourist, the film will be about an insurance broker called Max whose live revolves around keeping his walnut brain tumour in check. He does everything to take care of himself, but it makes him more depressed. When he realises his wife is going to leave him, he decides to take his own life. When it doesn’t initially work, he checks himself into a suicide hotel, which ends up teaching him about the joy of life and inevitability of death.

Suicide Tourist is co-produced by Snowglobe and Mer Film and will be released in May 2019. No casting details have been announced.
