Details unveiled about the third season of ‘Norsemen’

The most popular Norwegian television series on Netflix, Norsemen, has been confirmed for a third season. Now, we have some of the first details of what will be happening to our favourite Vikings next.

Season three will in fact be a prequel, this time being set in 789 AD – exactly one year before the first Viking raid in the United Kingdom.

Chief Olav and Hildur rule Norheim, while little brother Orm is forced to marry Frøya. Jarl Varg tests the loyalty of the Vikings when he starts a war, and Liv fights her way to take her first step on the social ladder.

Hopefully this means the return of Occupied star Henrik Mestad, who plays Chief Olav.

Norsemen is also a unique series as it films both in the Norwegian and English languages.

You can watch season one and two on Netflix. Season three will be released around autumn next year.
