Denmark’s Avaz Brothers announce new film project

The Danish Avaz brothers, Milad, Misam and Mehdi Avaz, have started work on their next film after their successful debut with While We Live.

The new film is called Collision and explores a family’s struggles to stay together after tragedy. The film also explores divorce, and how a married couple makes difficult decisions during a breakup that affects their children.

Nikolaj Lie Kaas, Rasmus Bjerg and Nicolas Bro star in the film.

The Avaz brothers released their debut film, the low-budget While We Live last year, and the film had a successful run before the Avaz brothers were among Variety’s ’10 Europeans to Watch in 2018′. The film received five nominations at the Danish Film Academy Awards.

Collision is produced by Rocket Road Pictures and Kim Magnusson, along with Nordisk Film. The Danish Film Institute (DFI) is support the film through its Market Scheme, which funds films with strong box office potential (such as the Department Q films, for example). The DFI has given the film 8.2 million kroner. Collision is about to start principle photography.
